Black Overcoat In The Winter
It's officially winter!
Hello again! It's been an amazing time in the Windy City. The people have definitely shown me a good time. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not in the South anymore. It's funny when you travel you realize the stark differences of where you are and where you come from. I’ve also been dying to travel to a city where I can properly layer up. I find layering is rather methodical, yet care-free process. I decided to whip out my H&M Cashmere scarf for good measure. I’m not used to bundling up like this, but I now understand why all of the pieces are important to keep you warm but also stylish.
I purchased the faux leather driver gloves from Urban Outfitters. They are on sale NOW, so get them while they last. I love that they’re relatively thin yet still give my hands enough protection from the frigid winds. They are also touch screen gloves, so you can still use them when you need your phone. I didn’t opt for a snow boot because the weather was much more tolerable than I thought. Plus, I wanted to really break these beautiful ZARA monk boots in; these boots really elevate any look.
During a lengthy stay, wherever I go, I like to reflect on life and the future. I get a perspective on how the people in the city live and how it's so different from my life. I’m really starting to embrace the evolution of my style and new aspects of my life in 2017. I’m excited to see where the year takes me!
